Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico has both 20-foot waves for surfers and calm, clear waters for families. It's a stroll back through time (El Morro) and an up-close look at the contemporary (Calle del Cristo). It's an exhilarating mix of landscapes, from the serpentine jungle of El Yunque to the corkscrew caves of Parque de las Cavernas del Río Camuy. And if you want to get away from civilization entirely, you can ferry over to the secluded -- not to mention jaw-droppingly gorgeous -- islands of Vieques and Culebra.Puerto Rico really should be explored over at least three or four days.Much of Puerto Rican culture, from the food to the music and the people's sensibilities, represent the island's combined North American, Caribbean and indigenous Taíno ancestry.

Tahiti

Although the name "Tahiti" is commonly used to describe the entire destination, it is actually one of the many islands in French Polynesia. Often referred to as "Tahiti and her Islands", French Polynesia is a collection of 118 islands and atolls scattered across 1.5 million square miles of the South Pacific. Amazingly enough, these tiny islands, many of which remain uninhabited, make up a total landmass of only 1,500 square miles.
The actual island of Tahiti, known as the "Queen of the Pacific", is the largest in the region. Nearly two-thirds of French Polynesia's 270,000 inhabitants live here. It's home to the capital city of Papeete and serves as the country's economic center.

Philippines.

The Philippines is a land apart from mainland Southeast Asia – not only geographically but also spiritually and culturally. The country’s overwhelming Catholicism, the result of 350 years of Spanish rule, is its most obvious enigma. Vestiges of the Spanish era include exuberant town fiestas (festivals) like Kalibo’s Ati-Atihan, unique Spanish-Filipino colonial architecture, and exquisite, centuries-old stone churches lording over bustling town plazas. Malls, fast-food chains and widespread spoken English betray the influence of Spain's colonial successor, the Americans. Yet despite these outside influences, the country remains very much its own unique entity.
