Estonia

  • From sleepy fishing villages, to unspoilt beaches, spa resorts, yacht marinas and larger ports there is something for everyone.
  • Estonia’s natural rivers can be considered one of our most valuable natural resources – only a few riverbeds have been reshaped by the man. Rivers are fed by springs and the brownish but clean waters of bogs.
  • The first sailing competition was held on Pärnu river in 1883 and river sailing is still popular. Most sailed are the larger Emajõgi (Mother’s River) and Pärnu rivers.
  • 24th of February: Independence day. Celebrated with the military parade in the morning and festive family dinners in the evening.
  • The easiest way to get around is by bus or car. Maps are widely available in Estonia.
  • In the summer the skies are blue and temperatures can reach 30° Celcius and the summer average is a very pleasant 16.4°C.
